Kintail House is best positioned for those wishing to explore the Black Isle, and make the most of day trips to the North, West and East coast of the Highlands.  For those wishing to complete the NC500, the whole route can be completed on day trips, with the added bonus of a luxury base to come home to in the evenings.  Kintail House has a quiet rural setting seven miles north of Inverness on a small  working farm.   The house has a spacious interior, with a mixture of modern and antique furnishings throughout.  It has the ambiance of a traditional Highland home, with the added comforts of modern day living.  Guests can enjoy stunning panoramic views, and the stunning sunsets can always be enjoyed over a glass of wine in the garden.

We offer luxury accommodation for our guests with a welcoming living room with Log Burner, a spacious dining/hall, and Farmhouse kitchen.  All  rooms have complimentary towelling robes and slippers, with toiletries offered for all our guests.

Three  bedrooms on the first floor, 1 Twin, and 2 King Size Doubles, offering accommodation for six people.

There is ample private parking, with motorcycle cover and secure bicycle storage.

Kintail House is located centrally in the Highlands, 7 miles from the capital of Inverness and 3 miles outside of the village of Muir of Ord.

This small working farm is an idyllic rural setting for our Self Catering accommodation.

For the outdoor enthusiast, there are woodland tracks, with walking/climbing on some of Scotland's best Munroes within a short drive, and ten golf courses in our local area.

We are an ideal base for exploring, with every destination in the Highlands on accessible on a day trip.   

For those who just want to relax and enjoy the area, there are many local attractions.

Kintail House is an ideal base to explore the wonderful sights and scenery that the Highlands has to offer.

Inverness-Shire has something for everybody, why not take a trip on Loch Ness, a visit to Culloden battlefield or spend a day in Inverness exploring the shops and restaurants.

Kintail House is perfectly situated for the golfing enthusiast.  We are just a twenty minute drive to the Scottish Open Championship links course at Castle Stuart.  We also have 10 other courses within a thirty minute drive

A trip on the Moray Firth where dolphin spotting takes place, see the bottle nose dolphins and their young cavorting in the Firth, a sight that will live in the memory forever is a short drive away.

Fancy a dram? Why not take a trip to the Muir of Ord, Tomatin or Glenmorangie distilleries, or further afield you can explore the famous Malt Whisky Trail.

For those who don’t mind a little drive it will take you about 90 minutes to get to the Isle of Skye where there are many things to see an do, Skye is steeped in history and well worth a visit.
